Privacy Policy
HEMUT is a network where creative professionals publish their work, find each other and get hired. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible
HEMUT is operated by Gasser Hamed, Cairo, Egypt. For any question about this policy or your data, contact gssergasser@icloud.com.
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, provided when you register.
- Profile information — username, bio, role, skills, day rate, availability, and the city and country you choose to display.
- Content you publish — posts, portfolio items, collections, photos, videos, comments, applications and reviews.
- Messages — direct and group messages, including photos and voice recordings you send.
- Location — your device's approximate coordinates are attached to posts, opportunities, events and projects you create, so they can be shown to people nearby. This only happens if you grant location permission, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in iOS Settings.
- Identifiers — an account ID, and a push notification token if you enable notifications.
- Usage — counts of profile and portfolio views, followers and search appearances, which we show back to you in the app.
- Payments — if you subscribe to a paid plan, the transaction reference and the receipt image you upload.
- Diagnostics — crash reports, collected through Sentry and not linked to your identity.
Searches you type are saved only on your own device and are never sent to us.
Why we use it
To run the service: to create and secure your account, show your profile and work to others, deliver your messages and notifications, match you to nearby opportunities, process subscription payments, and fix crashes. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal data.
Who else sees it
- Other users — anything you publish is visible according to the visibility you choose. Public profiles, posts and portfolio items can be seen by anyone using HEMUT.
- Amazon Web Services — hosting and media storage, in the EU (Frankfurt).
- Sentry — crash reporting.
- Authorities — only where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your profile, portfolio, posts, messages and applications. Backups and legally required records may persist for a limited period afterwards.
Your choices
- Delete your account — Settings › Account & Login › Deactivate or delete account. Deletion is permanent.
- Deactivate instead — hides your profile and work without deleting it.
- Export your data — Settings › Data & Storage.
- Permissions — camera, photo library, microphone, location and notifications can each be revoked in iOS Settings without losing your account.
- Access or correction — edit your profile in the app, or contact us at gssergasser@icloud.com.
Children
HEMUT is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
